oxfordshire-support-staff-application-form

Oxfordshire Schools are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post involves the type of work with children and young people that requires applicants to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service check. The possession of a criminal record will not necessarily prevent an applicant from obtaining this post. All cases are considered confidentially and according to the nature of the role and information disclosed. As part of our recruitment process an online check will be completed.

As part of our recruitment process we will contact your current employer and other referees prior to interview using the form below. We will also conduct a DBS check for all employees.

The Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance advises that, as part of the shortlisting process, schools and colleges should consider carrying out an online search as part of their due diligence on the shortlisted candidates. This may help identify any incidents or issues that have happened, and are publicly available online, which the school or college might want to explore with the applicant at interview.

The search is purely about whether the individual is suitable to work with children. Care must be taken to avoid unconscious bias and any risk of discrimination. In line with that approach, it may be sensible to have someone not on the appointment panel to conduct the search – only sharing info that is relevant and of concern.

We are also frequently looking for Supply TA’s. If you would be interested in becoming a Supply TA please complete an application form and send to the school office email address – office.1006@headington-nurs.oxon.sch.uk
