Headington Quarry Foundation Stage School Early Years Pupil Premium Funding

The early years pupil premium (EYPP) is additional funding for early years settings to improve the education they provide for 3 and 4 year olds whose families meet the eligibility criteria.

For each eligible child the school receives an extra 53p per hour and uses it to provide additional support to meet these children’s needs. In the academic year 2016-17 the spend of early years pupil premium to date is as follows:

Autumn- £445.20
Spring- £477
Summer- TBA

The funding has been used in the following way:

  • Allocate extra sessions to help support good attendance and provide more teaching and learning support.
  • Provide children with weekly yoga sessions to help mental health and well being levels.
  • Teaching assistant hours to deliver communication and language support groups.
  • Provide funding towards the annual school trip to a farm.

We have termly review meetings and monitor progress of all our children to make sure they are making good progress and diminishing the difference between themselves and their peers.

Funds are spent with the following aims in mind:
-Close the attainment gap and accelerate progress.
-Provide experiences that enhance and enrich children’s learning.
